Reinhold Merkelback made steins 1882-2007, this 1/2L Monk stein #4107 is about 7" tall. It has a RM logo (used 1964-1968) and "Made in Germany" not Western Germany like it should have been marked. It doesn't have a 1/2L capacity mark or mold #4107. This may be the first character stein I ever bought, even though it's not an antique it is still nicely made. And they are always for sale and reasonably priced on ebay.
