While this mug (there's no sign that a lid was ever attached) is done in the style of Cold War steins, it can't be called one since German Reunification occured in 1990 and this is dated 1992. However, there were still plenty of U.S. military personnel in Germany and Ramstein Air Base was a major installation. This was an award stein for "Runner-up" in Ramstein Invitational Mens Volleyball.
