A jug, made in the late 1800's by the company Merkelbach & Wick in Grenzhausen, Germany.
The jug is decorated in the so-called 'historismus' style.
It measures 28cm (circa 11 inches) including the figure-shaped thumblift, or 24 cm without the lid.
