The lid relief, entitled Der Bauer (The Farmer), is the Ninth in a series of ten depicting 15th century Moriskentänzer (Morris dancers). Created in 1480 by Erasmus Grasser, the original wood sculptures are currently housed in the collection of the City Museum of Munich. (BSL)
