This is a Merkelbach and Wick Stein between 1880 -1921 (probably 1891-1896)
The front shows the American eagle with shield , arrows and flags (44 stars-The USA had 44 stars from 1891-1896)
The stein is etched and hand painted. The lid is domed pewter w/ 5-ring hinge
