From the collection of Paul Van Eck

A stoneware stein, made for the Dutch market in around 1829.

Pewter lid marked on the inside with the marking of pewterer Henrikus Beens (born 1759,died 1846, was active around 1829 in the city of Breda).
The mark has a capitol letter K in it, indicating the year of production is also 1829.
The stein has a pewter peg which shows a gauging-mark by gauging official N. Pruymboom (1820~1839). More proof that this stein dates to 1829.
