This is a stein that I picked up at a second hand store earlier today. After quite a bit of negotiation; the owner stopped me from walking out the door by offering it to me for $3.50USD. It appears to have no wear, either inside or out. I have been unable to identify the marking on the bottom. I believe it to be porcelain and has a date of 7-14-74 on the bottom. The mark on the bottom appears to be a cursive S and G, overlapping a bit.
