This faience bodied stein is in the style of the 18th century with a pewter lid surmounted with a thumblift and a foot ring but I have been unable to identify the mark on the base or attribute the design style to a particular factory or region. The lid has a poorly struck touch mark that matches a fake mark in an article by Steve on Steins which also mentions the authentic looking crazing that the body shows.
