The scene shows a group of dancing peasants.
This stein was produced in large volumes for the tourist industry. It can be seen in monochrome and polychrome colors. It would have a metal lid (alloy, not pewter).
Phrase on the sides reads: "Viel besser krähet jeder Hahn wenn er die Kehle feuchtet an." ["Every cockerel crows better when it's throat is moist" ..with beer of course ;-) ].
