This large plaque was produced by Villeroy & Boch in Mettlach, Germany. It dates to circa 1890 ~ 1910.
The decoration shows a scene from Wagner's opera "Lohengrin", Lohengrin's departure.
The Mettlach book, fourth edition, lists this plaque as mold number 3166, but possibly this is a print error because the plaque in the photos has the mold number 3165.
The diameter of this plaque is 44 centimeters.
