The painted inlay is a little puzzling. It shows one man assisting another who is injured, presumably shot, into a boat. They are both armed with rifles. They are looking back at another man armed with a rifle coming towards them from the forest. Did this man shoot the other. Was this a hunting accident, assignation, or war scene?
