Base marks
A large stoneware stein, produced by Simon Pete Gerz and dating to the end of the 19th century.
This stein was produced both in a monochrome blue/gray color scheme as well as in a red/black colored scheme. The decoration is in a typical historismus style.
The figures in the panels are the Greek legends 'Achilles', Agamemnon', and 'Minerva'. The stein has a scrolled handle.
