Original Kurkölner brandy jug in bearded man style (Bartmann Krug) manufactured by R. Merkelbach for the destillers Jacob Auer and Sons - Kurkölner. Salt glazed jug in cologne brown with pewter lid, cord and seal. On the base the producer mark, capacity mark 1 L. and a paper label with the inscription: Nachfüllung dieses Kruges (ca. 1 L.) MK. 3 (3 Mark) durch unseren Detailverkauf Köln, Mauritiussteinweg 54. (Postfilling of this jug (approx. 1 litre) by our detailed sales Cologne). I think under the label are more marks, but i don´t want disturb the label.
