Mold 1 is found twice:
first on this 1/2 liter stein, and again on a Munich Child character stein.
This stein also depicts the Munich child.
It is found in several colors (see the pictures for examples). The mold number 1 does not automatically mean that this is the first stein Reinhold Merkelbach produced, but it definately is one of the earlier ones. Another clue to it's age is the position of the capacity mark: If it is situated on the front of the stein, it is indicative for earlier Merkelbach production runs (1880's).
