According to the book "braun geflammt und grau gesaltzen", J.Schimanski 2011, p.117, this model was originally designed for a specific customer of Reinhold Merkelbach: die Firma Krumeich in Ransbach (westerwald), and it bore the mold number 6048. When the model was added to the normal sales catalog in 1922 it was re-numbered 3251.
