Porcelain occupational stein for a carter or wagoneer from 1896. Verbiage says, "Hoch lebe der Fuhrmann!" which translates to "Long live the carter!" or "Long live the wagoneer!" Name of Ulrich Sellmer at bottom of stein. Text on one side translates to "Sooner let the world perish than a wagoneer die of thirst" and the other side says, "Souvenir of 1896" Small mark--maybe number on bottom.
