Germany, Rhineland-Palatinate, Höhr-Grenzhausen;
Ball-type Master Jug, so-called "ivory stoneware", "Elfenbeinsteinzeug" produced since1883. Cream-glazed stoneware with impressed Circle Design, coloured in cobalt-blue. No capacity mark, but "2 L", mold number "2085" and Marzi&Remy pottery wheel impressed.
Original flat pewter lid with scroll-roll thumb-lift and five-ring open hinge, see mold numbers 2274 and 3290, but different than the depicted lid in the catalog for Marzi & Remy in this database.
