I bought this stein cheap on ebay only because it was made by Hauber & Reuther 1882-1886 and because I had never seen that stein before. At first glance I had no idea it could have been made by H&R. The handle is not on any H&R stein in the Beer Stein Library or John McGregor's Freising and H&R site. I checked all the H&R steins in MySteinCollection.com and couldn't find it anywhere. It has the capacity fill mark but no capacity amount and no mold number. I posted it on SCI's Facebook and Barbara Mair an avid Freising collector from Freising Germany sent a picture of hers (last pic) with the porcelain lid and saying. Hers doesn't have a mold number either.
