Aktienbrauerei Amberg [25th ANNIVERSARY 1897 - 1922]

Hand painted highlights with thick enamel | The colors are bright and shiny

Beautiful and original pewter lid

The strap and tang are tight and lid sits perfectly

There are two (2) marks on base yet to have been identified???

There is a small engraved mark on tang - hard to make out though

1/2 L. capacity and calibration marks

Super clean and tight for its age

Solid Blue line on circumference of base

The pictures really don’t do this steinkrug justice, so often the case

Close-up - Notice also small mark that looks like an “F” directly below the black dot blemish?

Original Aktienbrauerei Amberg Brauerei Steinkrug. [Brauhaus Amberg AG Amberg]

1/2 L. capacity

The “25" on the steinkrug is a commemorative 25th anniversary [1897 - 1922] of the Aktienbrauerei. The Brewery Aktienbrauerei [Brauhaus Amberg] was located in Amberg, Bavaria, Germany. I had visited it before its doors sadly closed in 1990. Dawn, my wife, and I use to frequent Nuremberg and its surrounding towns and villages, such as Amberg and Bamberg, to enjoy the many local gausthaus, brauerei, and beerfest. Sure miss those days!

Steinkrugs like this bring back those wonderful memories!!

This steinkrug has beautiful, bright colors with thickly enameled highlights throughout the unique design.
