Matthias Germscheid in 1884 was apparently engaged initially in the manufacture of clay pipes.1903 the firm was listed as a “stoneware factory” and the employer of forty workers. They are still in business today. This stein is approximately 9-1/2" tall, no capacity mark, makers mark or mold number, The only mark I could find was a small GERMANY on the base.. The Beer Stein Library lists it as (X6)
