Cold War Stein named to COL Luigi F. Claps, 508th MP Battalion, dated 21 August 1957. One of the officers listed on the roster is 1LT T.S. Kanamine who went on to become the first Japanese American to be promoted to the rank of General. Between 1976-1979 he served as Provost Marshal General, USAREUR. Unit motto "Sine Prae Judicio"
