A stoneware stein in historismus style decorations. 1/2L capacity, produced circa 1890-1910 by Reinhold Merkelbach.
The scene on the body consists of 3 panels with traditionally dressed men and women and patriottic phrases, praising the Alsace and Lotharingen regions.
The mold number is on the base of the stein, like with almost all Reinhold Merkelbach products. But it is also on the back of the stein, right behind the handle, which is a little less common (but not rare).
