Brass lid and thumblift, enameled shield on lid. Hand blown glass. The lid has what appears to be a simplified family coat of arms. A tri-color shield is in the middle surrounded by a saying in Latin. Google Translate was no help at all for the top line, the bottom line translates (in it's highly literal way) as "Friend breast to enemy? which I assume actually mean turning enemies into friends. The inscription under th lid is in German and translates to "Our firstborn on his 20th birthday".
