This stein is depicting an old hunter sitting at a table, probably in a bar, telling his friends about the big catches he made in the days he was a hunter. Since the subtitle of the panel says "Jägerslatein" (Hunter's tale), one can assume he is exaggerating just a little to impress his friends.
But who cares, as long as it's another good reason to stay put and order another beer..!
A souvenir stein, produced after WW2 in the thousands. Not a rare stein, but will look just fine on anybody's mantlepiece. There are also fullcolor versions of this stein.
