Glass stein, dated 1868

Aus die Sammlung von Paul Van Eck

A glass beer stein with a plain glass inlaid lid. The name H. v.d. Mark is engraved into the inlaid lid, together with the date 'januari 1868'.

A 7-ringed 'closed' hinge happily keeps the lid in place.
Sadly a nasty crack in the glass renders the glass almost without value, but the age and the nice engraving makes it worth keeping still..
