This 3-liter jug is a rare case where researchers of Villeroy & Boch's products did not notice the signature of the renowned designer Christian Warth.
On the Stein Marks portal, the description of the artist's work by designer Christian Warth includes a list of the mold numbers he designed for the Villeroy & Boch factory. This list does not include mold number 1736 (!). See the link: [Link]
On the "Beer Stein Library" portal, in the "Mettlach Stein Catalog" section, there is no mention of the authorship of Christian Warth in the description of the item numbered 1736 (!). See the link:

In Germany, there is a saying "Gutes Bier im Land
erfre jeden Stand". Translated from German, this means "Good beer pleases all citizens equally."
This beer jug by designer Christian Warth is a perfect illustration of this proverb.
To do this, Christian Warth has depicted four different types of men from different social groups: a student, a priest, an entrepreneur, and a soldier. They all have one thing in common: high-quality beer.
