This mold, as well as 2215 (1/2L) and 2217 (.4L or 1/2L) does not appear in any V&B catalog and were made to sell to finishers. They were sold lidless but had a notch in the handle to acvvcodate a lid. The finisher for this one has a rather od looking cat on the lid inlay. This one is quite clearly marked on the base with the Mercury mark, Made in Germany, and the mold number.
