Reinhold Merkelbach - Modell Nr. 1158

Reinhold Merkelback made steins 1882-2007, this "Various Subjects" stein is about 9-1/2" tall. It has a 0,4L capacity mark, mold #1158 and a hard to see RM logo used 1882-1933, but no Germany. In 1887 it was required to have Germany or Made in Germany on all exports. This souvenir of Heilbronn Germany is a "PUG" print under glaze, it has a five ring open pewter hinge. It was probably purchased in Germany by a tourist and brought back to the states, so Germany was not on it.
