This is a portrait stein in the sense that the decoration is a portrati. But it doesn't fit with other portrait steins that are hand painted. Those are custom made and unique. This decoration is transfer. No markings on the base. I believe that the body is a Merkelbach and Wick that was purchased and decorated by a finisher. Porcelain lid inlay.
