Reinhold Merkelbach was not a prolific producer of etched steins. This model (928) is one of only a handful that they manufactured.

It is a 0.5 liter capacity stein in typical historismus decoration. The front panel depicts a hand holding four playing cards, from the game called Skat. The side panels have a saying: "Mit vier Wenzel in der Hand kommt man durch das ganze Land."
