Very nice pewter lid and unusual thumbnail. The thumbnail is inlaid with a ceramic number 12.
On the lid it says Brauerei D.H. Boll. That is a brewery that no longer exists.
Inside the lid there is a pewterer's mark:"Wittorf Hamburg".
