A 1/2 liter capacity stein, produced by Simon Peter Gerz in the 1880's or 1890's.
The stein is saltglazed and is decorated in cobalt blue and manganese colors. The decoration is in historismus-style.

Verse on the front: "Ein trunk zur rechten zeit hat stets das herz erfreut.". Translation: "A drink at the right time makes the heart happy!".
