THE TYPE 1c/2 LOGO
(FACTORY LOGO)

Type 1c/2 - inscribed and hand inked: This is Mike Wald's "Mark #2" as indicated by the "/2." It is used on all porcelain steins manufactured in Freising after 1886. This mark is inked over a lightly tooled (inscribed) mark and is not to be confused with the "type 1b" logo, or the "type 5" mark. This logo may have been used as early as the latter part of 1886.

HR TYPE 1c/2 LOGO VARIETIES

TYPE 1c/2 STAMPS, inscribed and hand inked - There are numerous varieties of the "type 1c/2," HR logo. Mike Wald noted that, because they were hand done, no two were exactly the same and that could very well be the case.
