Type 1b - hand inked: This is the only example of this mark that I have ever encountered. I know of only three other pieces of this particular stein and they are marked as model #131 with an incised, "type 1a" logo. This particular stein is of high relief porcelain, 1/2 liter in size, with a music box base. It has the original, working music box, with a separate wind up key that is amazingly still with it after all these years.
